Where did that weekend go?

I got so busy planning for a couple of upcoming orders that I didn’t even make anything for myself for Easter.  And it is by far my favorite as far as edible decorating goes.  Cute little bunnies, chicks, sheep and eggs.  Everything in pastels… sigh.  Some of the cutest work I’ve done has been for Easter.  Spring chicken cake pops and bunny cupcakes to be specific.  But alas, this year the holiday got away from me. 

Now I will say that I did make something Spring/Easter-ish but it was for a customer.  Spring cupcake bites!  Please excuse the photo, it was taken at work… with my phone…. on a paper towel with a filing folder as the background.  Work with what you have I say. 

This weekend I’ll be finishing up a baby shower cake so pictures will follow of that.  For now, I leave you with my view from Easter… the beach!  Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. 

So I've started a blog...

Hi!  I'm Jen and I'm new to blogging.  I decided to start on this adventure… well, I’m not really sure why.  I’m not really sure how many people out there want to read about my adventures in balancing my real 9-5 job and trying to start/run my at home baking business.  Not to mention the time I spend taking care of a lovely little sick senior dog, repairing and loving a not-that-old-until-something-breaks house and planning (read: over-planning) to start a family. 

But here it will be, out in the abyss of the internet.  Hopefully I can make you smile.  I mean, come on, when does cake not make someone smile?  That’s why it’s Bake Love… because when there’s cake involved, there’s always love.
